Art Talk – Aiden Ruddle aka ‘SNZ’

Snzlmzlogo

Aiden ‘SNZ’ Ruddle was born in 1997 and hails from Queensland, Australia. A self confessed computer game and skateboarding nut, Aiden’s current work can be divided between his clean, technical creations – often turned into patches, stickers, t shirts and the like – and his free flowing, liquid like creations.

Both aspects of Aiden’s art could also be readily assigned to his interests: skateboarding for his free flowing works, and the digital realm of computers for his clean designs. All of which hint at the pop culture landscape that Aiden has been immersed in: The Simpsons, slime, pixel art, Pokemon, weed culture and Big Daddy Roth to name but a few.

Art Talk – Ed ‘Edderson’ Lezama of ‘Triple Bummer’ and ‘Lift it Down’

Ed Edderson - Tripple Bummer - 007

American artist Ed Edderson grew up living in a world full of pop art and culture – an uncle owning an RPG/comic shop, grandparents who both collected and a mother who did nothing but encourage him. Creating a man whose whole life is an expression of creativity – music, sculpture, digital art, traditional art, resin work and clothing.

As Ed simply states,

Making things for me is a compulsion…. I might as well try and see what it all becomes.

Coming to Art Whore’s attention thanks to his since retired Art Toy brand ‘Toxic Moss’, Ed has recently created his new solo venture ‘Triple Bummer’ as well as the ‘Lift it Down’ moniker for works he creates with his partner Laura Maria Ramirez Giraldo. Aside from these ventures, Ed has also collaborated with Shithouse Mouse, LATFO.com, Dain Marx from ‘ Buzzard Guts’ and countless others.

Art Talk – ‘Moon Lagoon’

Byron - Art 010 Version 2

‘Moon Lagoon’ is the nom de plume of a young Australian artist working with the mediums of photography, street art and fashion. Creating works with chaotic perfection, often portraying scenes of violence, nihilism, angst – and importantly, humor.

Having initially worked on paper, graffiti has been a constant love and source of release for ‘Moon Lagoon’, stating;

Riding the trains in Sydney was a pivotal moment for me, art wise. I was glued to the window watching the graffiti as we sped past, I couldn’t get enough of it.

Seeing those hundreds of tags and pieces and throw ups filling every space gave me this joy I had never felt before, the walls were just so alive with energy…

It was all just so mesmerising and raw
