Insuh Yoon is a Korean born, New York based artist and photographer. Working primarily with the female nude, Insuh’s work is evocative of the New York photography greats such as Larry Clark, Nan Goldin, Cindy Sherman, Ryan McGinly et al. Work that is erotic, personal, underground, provocative, filled with multiple themes, beautiful lightning and engaging composition.

Insuh is also an admirer and frequent collaborator with his fellow artists, models and friends – creating works that bounce off of each other in an almost endless feedback loop: photo to painting to photo to painting and on. To this end Insuh has collaborated with Bunny Lee, Frenchinald, Kelvis, Unfinished Lines, Sarah B. Whalen and many others – creating a multiplicity of artworks of various genre.

UK artist Adam Williams makes works independently under the ‘Twisty Bitz’ moniker and collaboratively as part of ‘Trap Toys’. Quickly making a name for himself for his expert molding, casting and design skills.

Whilst ‘Trap Toys’ are firmly embedded in the hip hop and street art aesthetic, Adam uses ‘Twisty Bitz’ as a release for his independent creations – thus far only teasing his works with none yet available for purchase.

Russell Taysom is a UK born and based artist and musician creating hyper colored, textural, technical and humorous art. His unique style has seen him work with US rapper ‘Rif Raff’, Art Whore Approved brand ‘Trippy Pins’, UK label ‘Fluffer Records’, ole ‘Tittybats’ and countless others.

Recently Russell has also begun dabbling in sculpting, with one of his art toy creations – Malibu Mutant Barbie – being featured at ‘Streets of Beige’. A move Art Whore will keenly be keeping eyes on!

Australian artist Amy Bean first came to the attention of Art Whore thanks to the ‘Any Thing Goes‘ group show from early 2015 and has been wowing our eyes ever since.

Amy gained her initial formal art experience working as a screen printer in her late teens, and today creates vibrant works with a tongue in cheek feminine attitude – weird eyes, pastel colours, gore and lots of swears.

‘Moon Lagoon’ is the nom de plume of a young Australian artist working with the mediums of photography, street art and fashion. Creating works with chaotic perfection, often portraying scenes of violence, nihilism, angst – and importantly, humor.

Having initially worked on paper, graffiti has been a constant love and source of release for ‘Moon Lagoon’, stating;

Riding the trains in Sydney was a pivotal moment for me, art wise. I was glued to the window watching the graffiti as we sped past, I couldn’t get enough of it.

Seeing those hundreds of tags and pieces and throw ups filling every space gave me this joy I had never felt before, the walls were just so alive with energy…

It was all just so mesmerising and raw

Patches and pins are 2 classes of pop culture ephemera that have recently exploded in popularity. Cheap, quick to manufacture and with a multiplicity of uses; pins and patches have come to dominate the commercial side of the DIY weirdo art scene lately.

‘Trippy Pins’ – run by Brandon Cohen outta NYC in the USA – is one of the companies at the forefront of this trend, producing high end, limited edition pins, patches and other accessories that have been embraced by weirdos and art fans world wide.

Ole Doug E Fresh of ‘Hemlock Bootlegs’ entered the resin game with a bang – his debut figure the ‘Behemoth’ gaining great reviews and promptly selling out when released in 2014. Gumilar Lukisani a.k.a GINDRING WASTE  is part of the tight-night contemporary Indonesian pop art scene – including fellow ‘Art Whore’ Approved artists Yahya Dwi Kurniawan aka ‘Yahyatune’, Erick Mahendra aka Harian Harimau, Chris Tianto, Reza Ray aka @rezarayfajarz Ican Harem and Jeritan Rakyat. This scene involves players who are more than your standard artist, being clothing designers, photographers, musicians and general all round multi faceted creatives.

Ben Davies is a Welsh based artist and toy maker new to the game yet already generating a lot of buzz thanks to his debut art toy release, the Slave keshi figure – released under the ‘Drwg Co’ label.

‘Drwg Co’ is an art collective made up of Ben and Roger Phillips, with each bringing their own unique talents to the creative partnership – with Ben commenting:

“I draw things crudely and come up with the ideas, as well as being the public-facing mouthpiece of the whole endeavor. I also do anything digital, be it online, colouring, making graphics and sorting all the moulding, print production etc.

Roger will do much of the finalised line art, the sculpting and generally provide fatherly advice throughout.“
